Kings Stomped By Warriors, 120-101

The Golden State Warriors had no problems extending their record-setting start to the season, dispatching the Sacramento Kings 120-101 in Oakland on Saturday night.

Things didn't always look so bad for the Kings, who led by as many as eight in the first quarter but trailed after one thanks to a Golden State bucket with with 5.8 seconds left in the opening period.  By halftime, the Warriors had compiled a ten point lead behind Steph Curry, who scored 17 of his 19 points in that opening quarter. The Warriors wouldn't need his services much in the second half.

Golden State opened up the second half on a 16-4 run to open up a 22-point lead with 8:31 left in the third quarter. That advantage would balloon to 29 just three minutes later before settling at 21 heading into the fourth quarter.

Draymond Green had his second straight triple-double for Golden State, who have won an NBA-record 18 straight games to open the season.

DeMarcus Cousins missed his third straight game for Sacramento (6-12), who shot just 39% from the field.

The Kings return home to host Dallas on Monday.
