Man Fatally Stabbed During Fight At Woodland Bar

WOODLAND (CBS13) – A Woodland man is under arrest after a bar fight turned deadly Saturday night.

Woodland Police say officers were called to Kenny's Bar a little before 9 p.m. due to a reported stabbing.

At the scene, officers found that a 54-year-old man had been stabbed. The man was treated by medics and transported to the UC Davis Medical Center, but was later pronounced dead.

Detectives believe the stabbing was result of a fight between two men at the bar. One of the men, 55-year-old Woodland resident Jeffrey Lemus, is believed to have pulled out a knife and stabbed the other man during the fight.

No was else was hurt in the fight. Police have not released the identity of the man killed.

Lemus was arrested at the scene. He has been booked at Yolo County Jail and is facing a charge of murder.
