Police Arrest Man Accused Of Posting Snapchat Video Of Himself Pointing Gun At Cop

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A 20-year-old gang member was arrested after posting a video to social media depicting him pointing a gun at a police officer, Sacramento Police said on Thursday.

Police say they were notified of the video on Saturday. It's a brief clip showing a man sitting in a car watching a Sacramento Police Department vehicle. The person recording the video zooms in to show a subject described as a police employee walking up to the car, while they raise a gun in front of the camera and make a shooting noise. A graphic over the video says "F--- the pigs" followed by a pig and gun emoji.

"These social media posts...are all very easily accessible to the public. You can't block everything; fortunately, for us we are able to see this video and take the proper actions," said Officer Tracy Trapini, a Sacramento Police Department spokesperson.

Police arrested Marco Romero, 20, on Wednesday for having a concealed, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and participating in a criminal street gang.
