Arrest Made In Modesto's First Homicide Of 2016
MODESTO (CBS13) — A suspect has been arrested in Modesto's first homicide of 2016.
Dwain Bishop, 46, was taken into custody on Thursday after police say he confessed and evidence was found linking him to the murder of Derek Mauldin, 32.
Police say Mauldin was shot to death while driving down an alley in Modesto in the alleyway at F and 15th streets. His vehicle accelerated after the shooting and crashed into a cinderblock fence.
Police have yet to disclose a motive in Tuesday's shooting.
