Wounded Warriors To Play NFL Alumni During Super Bowl Week
The Wounded Warriors Amputee Football Team (WWAFT), which consists of men and women who have lost a limb during war in Iraq and Afghanistan, will take on former NFL players to raise money for Disabled Veteran's Initiatives in the Bay Area.
The game will take place on February 6 at 12 p.m. at the College of San Mateo. Admission is free for students of CSM and children. Adult tickets are $10 and can be purchased on the Wounded Warriors website, or at the CSM football stadium.
Celebrities and former NFL players who have played in this game include Snoop Dogg, Jeff Garcia, Vince Young, Kenny Mayne, and Sal Paolantonio.
WWAFT is unbeaten against the NFL Alumni with a record of 12-0.
Photo and autograph opportunities will be available throughout the event.
Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers and other NFL autographed jerseys, helmets and footballs will be up for raffle as well.
