Police: Auburn Girl, 17, Arrested After Stealing Grandmother's Car

AUBURN (CBS13) - An Auburn teen is facing some serious consequences after she allegedly stole her own grandmother's car.

The incident happened Saturday afternoon. Auburn Police say they were called to the 600 block of Mikklesen Drive to investigate a reported vehicle theft.

Officers were told that a 17-year-old had stolen her grandmother's 2010 Ford Fusion.

A little over an hour later, officers spotted the car being driven by the girl. Officers pulled her over and she was arrested.

The girl, whose identity is not being released due to being a minor, was booked at Placer County Juvenile Hall and is facing a charge of vehicle theft.
