Driver In Suspicious Van Pulled Up To Sac State Student, Asked If She Called Shuttle

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Officers are asking students to be extra aware after a suspicious incident over the weekend.

Sacramento State Police says a woman reported she had parked at the top of Parking Structure II around 1 a.m. when an older dark green van drove up to her.

The driver then asked her if she had called a shuttle, which she didn't. The woman pointed out that the man was not driving a campus shuttle van, prompting him to thank her and drive off.

Few details about the driver are available, other than that he looked to be an unshaven white man in his 20s.

Police note that campus shuttles will always be clearly marked.

Anyone who may have seen the suspicious van is asked to call Sacramento State Police at (916) 278-6000.
