Roseville Teacher Accused Of 6 Counts Of Child Molestation

SUNNYVALE (CBS13) - A Roseville man who was working at a charter school has been arrested on child molestation charges.

James McNealy Carroll, 64, was arrested Wednesday at his home by Sunnyvale police officers on a $500,000 felony warrant. He's accused of six counts of child molestation between the late '80s to 1997 that allegedly happened while he was living in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale, according to a statement from the Sunnyvale Police Department.

Carroll has been working for the last 9 years at a Horizon Charter School in Lincoln primarily as an art teacher, according to Horizon Charter Schools' spokesperson Dr. Cynthia Wood.

"This was a surprise to us," said Wood.

Carroll is also said to be active in youth ministries.
