Police Warn Cosumnes River College Students About Serial Campus Groper

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Police are looking for a man they say touched women on their way to class at Cosumnes River College.

Most female students on campus try to avoid night classes, but police say this man is touching women in the morning or afternoon.

Campus police are questioning a person of interest, but they're still asking for students to remain vigilant.

One girl was followed to her car, while another was followed to class. Two more were on the campus when police say a man slipped his hand up their skirts, touching their upper thighs and behind.

In one case, a girl turned to face him, and he asked her what time it was.

Jeenita Devi won't change her wardrobe, but it's changed her style around people.

"If I feel like wearing a dress i'm going to wear it," she said. "Every time I'm walking, I'm just checking my dress."

Los Rios police say the sexual batteries have been going on since April, but police have been investigating other attacks on women at Cosumnes River College since October.

Young college women are on the lookout as police try to identify a serial campus groper who may or may not be a student himself.
