Vandals Pelt Rocklin Neighborhood With Eggs

ROCKLIN (CBS13) — Rocklin residents are still cleaning up after a messy vandalism spree that happened Thursday night.

People spent up to two house cleaning up eggs on their homes and cars this morning, and now they're hoping witnesses will come forward and help police crack the case.

"When we went out this morning there was an egg on the car," said Megan Vogt.

She and some of her neighbors woke up to find shattered egg shells scattered across lawns, sidewalks and streets, and it didn't go over easy.

"It's a lot of mess to clean up," she said.

The suspects rolled through the Rocklin neighborhood overnight, tossing eggs at about a dozen cars and homes.

Residents scrambled to clean up the mess.

"I had to get up and clean this stuff up before it completely rotted," said Adam Ismal.

Randy Taylor says there's permanent damage to his son's car.

"The impact of the egg took the paint off; it's to the metal for sure," he said.

Some homeowners turned to their home surveillance cameras to help spot the culprits, but so far the video hasn't provided any breaks.

Some are looking to the sunny side and are glad nobody was hurt.
