Protesters Block The Streets Of San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Several hundred protesters outraged by the recent police shootings of black men took to the streets of San Francisco, blocking several roads and ramps to get on and off the Bay Bridge and closing a shopping mall.

The group marched from the city's Hall of Justice and weaved across downtown Saturday afternoon, causing a downtown mall to shut down temporarily as protesters stopped there to chant slogans and make speeches.

Police closed access to the bridge several times when protesters took over freeway ramps, leading traffic to back up across the bay to the toll plaza in Oakland.

In central California several hundred protesters blocked several intersections as they marched against police brutality in central Fresno. Officers blocked an on-ramp to keep the protesters from entering State Route 41.
