Man Accused Of Abusing Puppy At Sonora Park

SONORA (CBS13) - Sonora police have arrested a man on animal abuse charges.

Witnesses say 36-year-old Bruce Adams was seen throwing a pit bull puppy in the air by its collar at a park. They also say he was seen holding the puppy underwater at a nearby creek.

Adams was booked into Tuolumne County Jail.

The puppy is expected to be okay.

Police learned the dog was someone else's, and reunited it to its owners.
