Attempted Kidnapping Suspect’s Wife Accused Of Intimidating Victim

OROVILLE (CBS13) – Authorities say the wife of a man on trial for attempted kidnapping is suspected of intimidating the victim.

Jesse Horton, a 32-year-old Oroville resident, was arrested back on May 11. Oroville police say a girl reported that Horton tried to pull her into his car. She was able to get away and Horton was arrested on charges of attempted kidnapping and indecent exposure.

Monday, Oroville police say they got information that Horton’s wife, 28-year-old Carol Rose Brown, contacted the girl on social media.

Detectives say the message Brown sent a message that tried to dissuade the girl from testifying in the case.

Police have arrested Brown and booked her at Butte County Jail. She is being held on $100,000 bail.
