Sutter Brown Has 'Very Aggressive Cancer,' Biopsy Confirms

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sutter Brown, Gov. Jerry Brown's pet corgi, has "very aggressive cancer," a spokesman said on Friday.

The governor's office said veterinarians were not able to remove all the cancer during an operation Sutter had earlier in the week. A biopsy has confirmed the cancer is very aggressive.

Sutter remains at a pet hospital. Treatment options are limited, the spokesperson said.

The hope is now that Sutter can come home and spend his last days surrounded by his family.

News broke of Sutter's critical illness this week. The news was met with an outpouring of support for Sutter from around the State Capitol.
