Police: Man Suspected Of Breaking Into, Burglarizing Stockton Firehouse
STOCKTON (CBS13) - Police have arrested a man suspected of breaking into and burglarizing a Stockton firehouse early Monday morning.
The incident happened at the firehouse on the 100 block of W. Sonora Street. Stockton police say a suspect apparently got into the building by breaking out one of the garage bay door windows.
Inside, the man allegedly grabbed a laptop, iPad and even put on a turnout liner (a firefighter's coat).
A real firefighter soon confronted him, but the man allegedly threatened to kill the firefighter. The man then dropped the electronics and ran.
The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Jamal Davis, was later arrested by police. He was still wearing the turnout liner, officers say.
Davis was booked at San Joaquin County Jail and is facing charges of burglary, robbery, vandalism, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.
