Plane In Deadly Half Moon Bay Crash Departed From Sacramento
MOSS BEACH, Calif. (AP) - A sheriff's spokesman says a passenger died when a small plane crashed into a house north of an airport in the San Francisco Bay Area.
San Mateo County Sheriff's spokesman Salvador Zuno says authorities were called to the scene in the Moss Beach area near Half Moon Bay Airport around 11:18 a.m. Friday. He said in addition to the death, one person was injured.
He did not have additional details. The Federal Aviation Administration said two people were aboard the plane, and it was coming from Sacramento to Half Moon Bay.
The pilot was transported to the hospital. The passenger in the crash died at the scene.
