Man Suspected Of Stealing Working Surveillance Camera

A man was arrested after he was caught on video allegedly stealing a surveillance camera

He was arrested Sunday around 11:30 a.m. after police were called to a home in the 2400 block of Cormorant Way, where the theft occurred. Police watched the surveillance video and recognized the suspect as someone they'd spotted while first responding to the call.

Officers searched the area again and found the suspect, 33-year-old Toribio Castro. He was searched by police and still had the stolen camera in his possession, according to a statement from the Sacramento police

He was arrested on charges of theft, violation of probation terms, and an outstanding warrant.
