Sacramento Mourns 36 Killed In Oakland Warehouse Fire

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A local vigil was held Monday night to mourn those lost in Oakland.

This horrific tragedy has affected so many lives from the bay across the world, many just wanted to show their support.

Dozens gathered at the Capitol rose garden, asked to bring flameless candles and lights.

The names of the victims were written on a board and a make shift memorial set to honor those killed.

A lot of those young men and women knew the victims of the Oakland fire.

Many of them traveled to the bay for events and said it could've been one them.

Several people spoke up offering their condolences as well as showing support for their artist community saying this was an extension of their family.

"It's usually the saddest things that bring people the closest for whatever reason it's always something like this that shows everybody just how much we actually do care," said Jacquelyn Meyer of Sacramento who applied for the Vigil permit.

During the ceremony three more names were added to the death toll making it 36.
