Thousands Lose Power In The Bay Area

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) — Utility crews are working to restore electricity to some 41,000 customers in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Pacific Gas & Electric Co. says the power outage Saturday was caused by a transformer issue.

Affected cities include Oakland, Berkeley and Emeryville. It's unclear how long repairs will take.
