Power Restored After Vehicle Crashes Into Pole

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - More than 18,000 were without power for over an hour after a juvenile driver crashed into a pole on Gerber Road near Wilbur Way just before 3 a.m. Wednesday.

The vehicle overturned but neither the driver nor her passengers were injured.

California Highway Patrol officers at the scene said drugs and alcohol were not factors in the incident.

SMUD was able to restore power after 4:30 a.m.

Eastbound Gerber is still closed as officers investigate the scene.
