Woman, 83, Killed In Head-On Crash In Rio Vista

RIO VISTA (CBS13) – A woman has died following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 160 in Rio Vista.

The crash happened about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators say an 83-year-old woman from Paradise crossed into on-coming traffic, hitting an SUV head-on.

That caused a chain-reaction crash involving several vehicles spinning out of control.

The woman was airlifted to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Five other people were rushed by ambulance with minor or moderate injuries.
