PG&E Crews To Lend A Hand To Hurricane Irma Victims In Florida

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – PG&E employees will lend a helping hand to victims in Florida affected by Hurricane Irma.

Crews based in the Central Valley departed Friday morning from Sacramento International Airport to help safely restore power in hard-hit areas.

In 2014, PG&E and Florida Power & Light signed a cross-continent mutual-aid agreement, pledging support in the event of a major national disaster.

Florida Power & Light covers the cost of this endeavor.
