Great Sacramento Area Economic Council Press Conference announced new Headquarters in Sacramento.The technology company SupportPay announced on Thursday at the Crest Theatre that they are moving their Headquarters from Silicon Valley to Sacramento at a Greater Sacramento Area Economic Council press conference. Greater Sacramento and the City of Sacramento have been working hard to bring yet another fast-growing tech company to our community. Greater Sacramento competed head-to-head for this tech company with Charlotte, Texas, and New York. SupportPay is backed by Draper Associates, Sales Force Ventures, and Aspect Ventures. Support Pay CEO Sheri Atwood, Mayor-elect Darrell Steinberg, Venture Capitalist Tim Draper and the Greater Sacramento Board Chairman Pat Talamantes all participated in the press conference.
Africa Hope Fund “Safari on the River” Fundraiser in SacramentoSafari on the River Fundraiser, an African experience was on the Garden Hwy at Juluka landing, Sacramento on September 18, 2016. The Africa Hope Fund helps with much needed funds for the education of children in Africa and the protection of wildlife.
NAIOP DEVELOPMENT 2017 AND PROJECT TOURNAIOP Sacramento Valley hosted a discussion of projects and development in the region from the local developers and the plans to support growth and development in 2017 and beyond at the Crest Theatre on September 14th. After the panel discussion, attendees boarded trolley cars for a tour of where development will begin soon or projects are currently underway. Since 1967, NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, has become the leading organization for office, industrial, retail and mixed-use real estate developers, owners and investors. NAIOP is comprised of more than 15,000 members and provides strong advocacy, education and business opportunities through a North American network.
The Center for Land-Based Learning DINNER AT THE BARN FundraiserThe first fundraiser dinner at the BARN in West Sacramento on September 11, 2016, presented by Downey Brand and hosted by Fulcrum Property. The BARN is the Bridge District’s new indoor/outdoor hot spot for entertainment, fundraisers, food service and farmers market on West Sacramento’s riverfront.
