An injury report is rarely exciting, but this week 49ers should be hopeful that A.J. Jenkins may be called upon due to a (relatively) minor injury to Mario Manningham. If the rookie is not on the field at some point it will mean more snaps for Randy Moss, and indicate that Jenkins has not shown his coaches that he deserves to be playing.
After failing to do anything offensively last week, there will be pressure on the offense to put some points on the board, and that will have to come by air. Smith and his receivers will need to get up to speed if they want to avoid another loss by only scoring 13 points like last week.
The San Francisco 49ers have signed top draft pick wide receiver A.J. Jenkins to a four-year contract.
