Every year it happens: Big-league trades send hitters and pitchers from the National League to the American League—and vice versa. This isn’t always a good thing, though, as pitchers have a hard time adjusting going from the NL to the AL, while hitters have a hard time adjusting going from the AL to the NL.
With all the talk about the Oakland Raiders acquiring San Francisco 49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh in a trade for draft picks, few seem to be considering the possibility the Silver & Black might retain Interim Head Coach Tony Sparano. One thing is certain: With an inferior roster, Sparano out-prepared and out-coached Harbaugh last week as the Raiders beat the 49ers, 24-13. That has to count for something.
