Formal charges have been filed against the former Sacramento County deputy accused of sexually assaulting a boy for several years.
A man’s body has been found Wednesday afternoon near the South Yuba River, where sheriff’s deputies have been searching for a missing miner.

“During their search, we did recover also a couple other items which are illegal,” Royal said. “One was what we believe are anabolic steroids for injection purposes, and also pills we believe are ecstasy.”
Black was placed in custody at his own sheriff’s substation by deputies from Nevada County. He’s accused of molesting at least one boy.
“If somebody’s hungry, then they are welcome to the food. But the vandalism, ransacking, everything, throwing everything everywhere? It took us all day just to de-stress from the whole thing and clean up.”
Its owner Joshua Kerley is now on in jail on a number of charges, including failing to have a permit for the gator.
An elderly Elk Grove man who was reported missing on Monday has been located.
