The Oakland Raiders broke a decade-long losing streak coming off of a bye week by taking down the Pittsburgh Steelers 21-18. It was a victory led by a running quarterback and a swarming defense and one that wasn’t nearly as close as the score indicates.

The Oakland Raiders always seem to play better when coming off of a bye week, and the extra week of rest may not have come at a better time. When they head back out onto the field, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be coming to town and are arriving with a two-game winning streak.
The Oakland Raiders enjoyed their bye week by taking a much needed break after losing three of the last four games. Still, they know there is work to be done but a little rest and relaxation was just what coaches called for to maybe help improve the offense and keep the defense running at a good pace.
