Best Doggie Daycare

By Juliet Farmer

Feel guilty about leaving your dog home alone all day while you're away? What if there was a place where your pooch could romp and play under careful supervision, allowing him or her to sniff and frolic to his/her heart's content? Well there are plenty in the Sacramento area – and you can choose from large facilities to smaller sites, as well as the option for at-home visits if your dog doesn't want to leave the comfort of his, er, your couch. Check out the best doggie daycare we found around Sacramento.

CBS Sacramento Insider Tip: All doggie daycare facilities require your dog is up-to-date on necessary vaccinations, especially Bordetella, which protects against kennel cough. Also, most require some sort of temperament evaluation prior to enrollment. Even if your dog doesn't play well with others, there's likely still a place he/she can stay—just be honest about any behavioral issues up front and most boarding/daycare facilities will do their best to accommodate even the grumpiest of dogs.
