Muntean's began in December 2010 with the plan to have 10 homemade soups daily. This spot has a variety of soups, which come in three categories: meat, seafood and vegetable. The selections include clam chowder, seafood gumbo, broccoli cheese, barley artichoke, lentil, curry chicken, curry mushroom, potato cheese, pumpkin and leak, Romanian onion and French onion. Club Pheasant, originally named the Hideaway Cafe, has been operating for over 75 years. The original building was built back in 1912, purchased by Luisa and George Palamidessi. The original name was The Hideaway Café. Flowers bloom seasonally around the building, the waterfall and patio where Club Pheasant hosts the Friday Night Concert Series. Portions of the original building are still being utilized today in the restaurant. Current owners are the fourth generation to run the establishment. The standard soup is minestrone, offered all the time, but on Fridays there is also clam chowder. There is a full menu, which can be found on the website.

Strings Urban Kitchen (SUK) had its beginnings in the wine industry going back to 2010. It has an interesting story that began with two wines and has grown and expanded into a full Italian restaurant. Vince's Ristorante is another Sacramento establishment rich in family and heritage. Going back to 1964, the restaurant was opened by Vince Frugoli and his wife Pauline. In 2009, another Italian family, the Rossis, a father-and-son duo, took over ownership of the restaurant carrying on the rich history.
