The Firehouse Restaurant is located in the historic section of Old Sacramento. As its name suggests, the building was once the fire station for the city of Sacramento in the mid-1800s. As time passed, the location evolved into what is now one of Sacramento's most cherished restaurants. The structure has been refitted with an elegant courtyard and is beautifully landscaped. When it reopened as the Firehouse Restaurant in 1960, it was decorated with beautiful Victorian artwork and elaborate antiques. The restaurant is listed by the Old Sacramento Community as one of the places to visit to feel what Old Sacramento was really like.

Not surprisingly, The Firehouse has hosted weddings, engagement dinners and other special romantic events. It boasts an impressive wine cellar of over 20,000 bottles in addition to serving up some of the city's best food.
