The Met Charter High Principal Resigns Following Investigation

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A Sacramento charter high school principal placed on leave last week has resigned following an investigation, school officials confirmed.

Sacramento City Unified spokesman Gabe Ross confirmed that The Met Charter High School Principal Allen Young resigned Thursday.

Parents and students were saddened after learning Young was placed on paid leave last week for the still undisclosed allegations.

There are still questions surrounding what the principal is accused of or if the allegations are related to a recent field trip Young took with parents and students to Humboldt State University.

A Met teacher also resigned last week, prior to Young's paid leave.
