Police Release Suspect Sketch In Fatal Beating Of Citrus Heights Man

CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) - Weeks after the death of a disabled Citrus Heights man, a police canvass of the neighborhood has lead to a description of the possible culprit.

Christopher Sargoni was beaten by an unidentified suspect in late October, and would die days later as a result of his injuries.

On Nov. 6, detectives, police volunteers, and civilian employees canvassed near the scene of the crime, the 7700 block of Greenback Lane. They handed out flyers and spoke with pedestrians in hopes of finding any possible witnesses.

A witness did come forward with information that allowed investigators to create a sketch of the unidentified suspect.

Anyone with information regarding this crime or the suspect's identity is urged to contact the Citrus Heights Police Department at (916) 727-5500. Tipsters can also remain anonymous by calling (916) 443-HELP or 1-800-AA-CRIME.
