Fire Investigators Say 2 East Sacramento Fires Last Week Are Arson

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Investigators now say two of the four fires that burned within seven hours of each other last week near east Sacramento were arson.

The blazes are linked, but investigators are still looking for a suspect.

The other two fires that happened in the same area are still under investigation. Both are suspicious, but at this point, firefighters haven't been able to connect them.

One thing the four fires have in common is they were on properties that sit along an alleyway.

The fires caused millions of dollars in damage. The fire at 14th and E streets created a plume that could be seen from miles away. That fire alone caused more than $2 million in damage.
