Stockton Man Pleads For Return Of Dog Stolen From His Car

STOCKTON (CBS13) — A Stockton man says his dog was stolen right out of his car, and he's pleading for the thieves to bring his dog home.

James Morris says the people who took his precious pet did it right in front of his eyes as he was visiting a friend at the apartment complex.

"I had my windows about half way down on either side. I had the door locked," he said. "She had a bowl of water in the front."

Satie May, a 6-month-old German shepherd, was inside Morris' car when two men unlocked the doors, grabbed her and carried her away.

"People say it's just a dog," he said. "In my opinion, she may just be just a dog. but to me she's like my daughter."

He couldn't believe what he was seeing at the complex on Village Green Drive.

"I saw them from my friend's apartment door; I saw them take her out of the car, which i couldn't do anything it was too far, and there was an SUV," he said.

It happened too fast to stop the dog-stealing duo, he said. Now he's pleading for them to bring her back .

"If you see her, please contact the Stockton Police Department, or if you are the one who took her and you have her, I don't care just please bring her home," he said.
