Woman's Remains Found In Field Near Placerville
PLACERVILLE (CBS13) – Authorities say that the partially decomposed body of a woman was discovered Sunday afternoon.
According to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, a passerby reported around 4:30 p.m. that they saw a body in an open field southeast of Missorui Flat Road and Highway 50. Deputies soon arrived and found the partially decomposed remains of a woman.
Detectives are currently at the scene investigating and a crime scene investigation unit has been called in.
The circumstances surrounding the woman's death are unknown at this time.
